Anti Theft Mode
Anti Theft is a manual function that must be repeated every 10 seconds to prevent pagers from sounding. If the pagers do not receive a valid page signal within 20 seconds, they will sound.
Turn Anti Theft On
To turn Anti Theft on, send out the code CPG,1018,80,3
.
For POCSAG pagers, use command PAGE,0,sysid,[0]
, where sysid
is the system id being used by the pagers.
Turn Anti Theft Off
To turn Anti Theft off, send out the code CPG,0,0,3
.
For POCSAG pagers, use command PAGE,0,sysid,[1]
, where sysid
is the system id being used by the pagers
Operation
Once activated, any valid page will reset the timer in the pagers and they will not beep. Valid pages are a repeat of the CPG,1018,80,3
code or a page to another pager with Volume+Value
adding 80hex to the page code (e.g., CPG,45,8A,3
for pager 45
, flash 1
second, power level 3
).
If no valid page is sent within the 10 second window, the CPG,1018,80,3
code must be sent. If Anti Theft is to be discontinued, use the code CPG,0,0,3
(all page, disable Anti Theft, power level 3
). POCSAG pagers need individual pages about once every 15 seconds with the "on" message [0]
to reset their internal timer.
